  • Q Why do my blades chip frequently? Is it a material issue?

    A
    Insufficient toughness: Using ultra-hard but low-toughness materials to cut large-diameter or ultra-hard rebar will easily lead to brittle fracture. We recommend switching to H13、LD material in this case, as its superior toughness can effectively absorb impact force.
     
    Improper clearance: Excessively large or small clearance between upper and lower blades will cause uneven stress, resulting in chipping.
     
    Inadequate heat treatment: Internal stress not fully eliminated. All our blades adopt vacuum heat treatment technology to ensure uniform hardness from inside to outside, greatly reducing the chipping rate.
  • Q Can you design molds for parts with stepped surfaces or unusual shapes?

    A No problem. Please provide a diagram of your workpiece bending process, and our engineers will design the corresponding upper and lower mold solutions for you free of charge.
  • Q What is the hardness of press brake tooling?

    A

    We typically use 42CrMo steel, which, after overall heat treatment, achieves a hardness of HRC 47-52. This hardness ensures both wear resistance and compressive strength.
  • Q What materials are used for press brake tooling?

    A 55sicr、42CrMo、H13
  • Q Do you provide compatible blades for different machine brands?

    A Yes. As long as you provide drawings or specific dimensions (length x width x thickness + hole diameter/hole spacing), we can custom-manufacture any non-standard specifications.
  • Q How many times can the blades be resharpened after they become dull?

    A It depends on the blade thickness and the depth of the hardened layer. Our blades undergo integral vacuum hardening, resulting in consistent hardness throughout, and can usually be resharpened multiple times without affecting performance.
  • Q When cutting metal sheets of different thicknesses and materials (such as stainless steel vs. carbon steel), is it necessary to change the material of the metal sheet shearing blades?

    A Yes. 9CrSi or 6CrW2Si are commonly used for shearing carbon steel; however, for stainless steel or high-hardness alloy plates,D2 or H13 must be used, and even better materials may be required for thicker plates.
  • Q Can you customize the blades and accessories?
