Performance Impact: Moderate carbon ensures basic hardness/wear resistance; chromium boosts hardenability/corrosion resistance; silicon enhances toughness/heat resistance. Easy to machine, cost-effective, and low-chipping for low-intensity use.
Application: Basic punching/shearing for ordinary sheet metal (low-frequency use), ideal for low-cost entry-level custom dies.

Cr12MoV/SKD-11 – Standard-Grade Die Steel

Chemical Composition (Typical): C: 1.45-1.70%, Cr: 11.00-13.00%, Mo: 0.40-0.60%, V: 0.15-0.30%, Mn: ≤0.40%, Si: ≤0.40%, P: ≤0.030%, S: ≤0.030%.
Performance Impact: High carbon/chromium form wear-resistant carbide (HRC 60-64); molybdenum resists high-temperature softening; vanadium balances wear resistance/toughness for stable conventional use.
Application: Covers most sheet metal punching/shearing scenarios, the mainstream standard for general-purpose custom punches.

DC53 – High-Performance Upgraded Die Steel

Chemical Composition (Typical): C: 1.00-1.10%, Cr: 8.00-9.00%, Mo: 2.00-2.50%, V: 0.80-1.10%, Si: 0.80-1.10%, Mn: 0.30-0.60%, P: ≤0.025%, S: ≤0.010%.
Performance Impact: Modified Cr12MoV with extra molybdenum/vanadium to eliminate brittleness. Balances wear resistance/toughness; low impurities ensure uniformity. Optimal HRC for high-tonnage, precise custom punching.
