We supply all types of segmented press brake tools, including Multi-V Dies, Acute Angle Punches and Gooseneck Punches. All dies are made of 42CrMo (AISI 4140) steel. We use induction hardening to make them HRC 47±3 hard, so they wear well over time.   • Upper Die (Punch): Moves with the machine’s slider. Its shape determines the part’s outer look (straight, sharp, curved, etc.).

  • Lower Die: Fixed on the machine’s table. It usually has a V-shaped groove. The groove width affects how much force is needed to bend and the part’s quality.

2. How They Work

  1. Place the sheet metal on the lower die.

  2. The slider moves the upper die down to press the metal.

  3. The metal bends into the shape of the dies.

  4. The upper die moves back up, and you take the part out.

Q1: What material is best for high-precision press brake dies?

42CrMo (DIN 1.7225) is the top material for professional dies. It is stronger and tougher than regular carbon steel.T8 and T10 steel work for light-duty bending. For CNC machines and stainless steel bending, 42CrMo prevents deformation and keeps long service precision.

Q2: Are your dies compatible with Amada, Trumpf and LVD machines?
