Portable electric cutters are essential for on-site construction and rebar work. Their efficiency depends entirely on the quality of the cutting blocks. Poor-quality blades slow down work and can damage machines (due to too much vibration or blade breakage).
Our industrial rebar cutting blocks work 100% with popular handheld cutters (UK and global markets), including RC‑16, RC‑20, RC‑22, and RC‑25 series. They deliver clean, square cuts for 16mm to 25mm rebar every time.

1. Blade Material Selection

Blade material affects hardness, toughness, and how long it lasts. Choose based on your cutting needs:
  • H13 Material: The most popular high-quality blade. It is very wear-resistant and tough, with great heat resistance. No deformation or chipping during long, heavy cutting. Perfect for high-strength rebar.

  • Cr12MoV Material: Hard and wear-resistant (harder than regular alloy blades). Good for cutting hard cold-rolled rebar. Note: It is less tough—avoid high-impact or large-gap cutting.

  • 9CrSi Material: Cheap and practical. Easy to harden and machine. Good for regular medium-low strength rebar, widely used in small and medium projects.

2. Machine Specification Matching (Custom Sizes)

2.1 Shape Matching

  • Square blades: 4 usable edges. Rotate them to last longer (good for large-scale work).

  • Rectangular blades: 1 or 2 edges. Good for small-tonnage cutters.

2.2 Size Matching

Different cutter models have strict standards for blade thickness, length, width, and bolt hole spacing. Follow the machine’s manual.

3. Best for Different Rebar Types

Choose blades based on rebar properties:

  • High-Strength Ribbed Rebar: Hard, with ribbed surfaces that wear blades. Use H13 (wear-resistant, tough, reduces chipping).

  • Scrap Rebar: Corroded, with sand/dirt that wears blades. Use high-nickel materials.

4. Manufacturing Process

Choose blades made with full grinding and vacuum heat treatment. They have even hardness, keep a sharp edge, and rarely chip or go dull.
