Performance: Hardness of HRC52-55 after heat treatment. Strong shock resistance to handle impacts, good high-temperature resistance, tough core (prevents cracking/chipping), and easy to harden. Great for Eagle scrap shear replacement blades in metal recycling.
Suitable for: Alligator shears (≥160T). Cuts extra-thick steel plates (≥30mm), hard round steel, regular alloy steel, thick-walled welded pipes, and other heavy materials.
Advantages: Good for heavy impact use in metal recycling. Strong shock resistance and toughness to avoid cracking/chipping. Easy to use and made with a mature process. Perfect for replacement blades.
Performance: Improved version of H13. Keeps H13’s strong shock resistance, with better core toughness (less cracking/chipping), high-temperature stability, and fatigue resistance. Easier to harden than regular H13. Good for high-demand metal recycling with Eagle scrap shear replacement blades.
Suitable for: Extra-large alligator shears (≥180T). Cuts super-thick steel plates (≥40mm), heavy alloy steel, thick-walled seamless pipes, large structural steel, and other high-impact materials. Ideal for heavy, non-stop cutting in scrap yards.
Advantages: Better shock resistance and toughness than regular H13. Lasts 20%-30% longer in heavy use. Best choice for extra-large Eagle scrap shear replacement blades.
Performance: Hardness of HRC60-64 after heat treatment. Much more wear-resistant than regular tool steel. Tough core (prevents cracking/chipping), even hardness across the blade, and great resistance to abrasive wear. Good for replacement blades in metal recycling with medium-to-large shears.
Suitable for: Medium-to-large alligator shears (100T-160T). Cuts 10-30mm steel plates, thick rebar, rusty scrap steel, angle steel/channel steel, and other abrasive materials.
Advantages: Most wear-resistant of the three materials. Reduces blade replacement frequency and boosts large-scale metal recycling efficiency. Great for replacement blades.
Vacuum heat treatment (instead of regular air cooling) reduces surface oxidation and damage, ensuring even hardness across the blade.
Low-temperature tempering (180-220℃) right after heating removes internal stress, prevents blade deformation and cracking, and keeps the material’s hardness and toughness stable.
Crocodile shear blades and Eagle scrap shear blades usually use H13 material. It has reliable toughness and shock resistance to avoid cracking/chipping in metal recycling.
For complex scrap types, choose H13K for better toughness and shock resistance.
