Take a look at our slitter rotary knives being precision ground and sharpened right here in the ALAS workshop. Every circular blade is built for high-speed metal coil slitting. We carry out fine grinding with constant cooling to release internal heat stress and hold thickness tolerance down to the micron level.
Using professional CNC grinders and top-grade tool steel like SKD11 and D2, our slitter knives and circular slitting blades stay perfectly flat with ultra-sharp edges. They deliver clean, burr-free cuts for all your coil shearing work.

Cold & hot rolled carbon steel: SKD11 or D2 (HRC 58-60). They wear slowly and work great for high-volume jobs.
Stainless steel (304, 316): Cr12MoV1 or upgraded D2 (HRC 60-62). These stand up to work hardening and stop edges from chipping.
Aluminum, copper, brass: High speed steel with a mirror finish. It won’t stick to soft metals and keeps surfaces scratch-free.
Adjust blade gaps every day to match material thickness. Gaps too tight wear blades out fast; gaps too loose create burrs.
Sharpen blades regularly before edges get worn down. Light regrinding brings back sharpness and extends overall service life.
Clear all metal chips off the shaft and spacers before installation, to keep blades properly aligned.
Keep unused blades in a dry area, away from rust and hard knocks.
Cold & Hot-Rolled Carbon Steel: For standard carbon steel coils, SKD11 or D2 tool steel hardened to HRC 58-60 strikes an ideal balance between toughness and wear resistance. It works reliably for long-running, high-volume slitting tasks.
Stainless Steel Strips (304, 316): Stainless steel easily work-hardens during cutting, which wears out ordinary blades quickly. Vacuum-quenched Cr12MoV1 and high-grade D2 steel (HRC 60-62) effectively resist chipping and keep a sharp, clean cutting edge for longer service life.
Soft Non-Ferrous Metals (Aluminum, Copper, Brass): Soft non-ferrous alloys tend to stick to blade surfaces and leave scratch marks. High-speed steel (HSS) and mirror-polished circular slitting blades minimize surface friction, ensuring smooth, scratch-free clean cuts.
Long-Lasting & Wear-Resistant: Crafted from premium materials including Cr12MoV, SKD11, high-speed steel and cemented carbide. Professional vacuum quenching and cryogenic treatment harden the blades to HRC 58-62. Optional surface coatings cut down tool replacement frequency and lower production costs.
Micron Precision & Zero Burrs: Cutting edge tolerance is controlled at the micron level. Strict runout control ensures flat, burr-free strip edges with no secondary processing required.
Full Customization: We customize outer diameter, inner diameter, thickness and edge bevel angles. Round blades, irregular blades and matched upper/lower knife sets are all available to fit different slitting requirements.
High-Speed Operational Stability: Uniform heat treatment prevents blade deformation. The blades run smoothly at high operating speeds, keeping consistent strip dimensions and reducing material waste.
Metallurgy: Steel and aluminum plants use rotary slitter blades to slit hot-rolled, cold-rolled and stainless steel coils into fixed widths before delivery.
Metal Processing: Metal fabricators perform secondary precision slitting to fulfill customers’ custom size demands.
Automotive & Home Appliances: Supply precision narrow metal strips for automotive stamping parts, appliance housings and hardware components.
Special Material Processing: Suitable for galvanized, color-coated, copper and titanium strips, delivering clean cuts while protecting original material surfaces.
Material Selection: Standard blades adopt high-toughness alloy steel and high-speed steel; cemented carbide is applied for heavy-duty and high-precision working conditions.
Professional Heat Treatment: Vacuum quenching ensures uniform hardness and strong toughness, effectively avoiding edge chipping and blade breakage.
Precision Machining: Processed by CNC lathes and precision grinders with strict micron tolerance control.
Custom Cutting Edge Grinding: Thin materials use small-angle edges, while thick and hard materials adopt large-angle edges, ensuring optimal cutting performance for every scenario.
Surface Strengthening: Nitriding and TiN coating improve surface hardness, reduce friction, and avoid material adhesion and slag accumulation.
Direct Factory Supply: Equipped with complete CNC production workshops. We support custom orders with stable delivery schedules. No middlemen involved, helping you save procurement costs.
Strict Quality Assurance: Full-process inspection from raw material incoming check to finished product delivery. Every batch is tested on precision, hardness and wear resistance to ensure reliable quality.
Wide Equipment Compatibility: Our full-range products fit all mainstream slitting machine models, meeting diverse industrial processing needs.
One-Stop After-Sales Service: We provide professional guidance on blade selection, installation, grinding and daily maintenance. We resolve on-site faults quickly to minimize production downtime.
Ordinary Cold/Hot-Rolled Carbon Steel: Cr12MoV or SKD11 rotary slitter knives (HRC 58-60) are ideal. They offer great toughness and wear resistance for continuous mass production.
Stainless Steel (304, 316, 430): Cr12MoV1 or D2 blades (HRC 60-62) work best. Excellent wear resistance prevents chipping and guarantees burr-free stainless steel slitting.
Soft Non-Ferrous Metals (Aluminum, Copper, Brass): HSS and alloy steel blades effectively stop material adhesion for smooth, scratch-free cuts.
Galvanized & Color-Coated Strips: Mirror-polished Cr12MoV blades (HRC 58-60) protect coating layers from peeling, zinc loss and paint scratches.
Cemented Carbide Blades: We provide tailor-made custom circular slitter knives for heavy-duty processing of thick coils and hard alloy materials.
