Blade Materials: D2 vs. DC53 Alloy

D2 Alloy

• Very good wear resistance (great for rough materials).

• Hardness: HRC 58–60.

• Stable structure, resists friction well.

• Less tough than DC53—can chip easily if materials have impurities.

• Best for highly rough materials (e.g., filled hard plastic) if chipping is acceptable.

DC53 Alloy

• Hard and tough—excellent impact resistance and wear resistance.

• Twice as tough as D2, resists chipping and cracking.

• Harder than D2: HRC 62–63.

• Works well for mixed materials (with impurities) without breaking.

• Best for heavy-duty shredding (mixed waste, PVC, rubber, tires, thick plastic, light metals).

• Better than D2 for most uses—it lasts longer and reduces downtime.

How They Work

Sizes & Uses

• Small (35×35×25mm): Many blades, fine cuts. For soft materials (plastic film, woven bags). Output size: 20–25mm. Good for small/medium shredders.

• Standard (40×40×25mm, 60×60mm): Balances speed and versatility. Cuts plastic blocks, cardboard, bottles, rubber. Output size: 25–40mm. Fits most standard shredders.

• Large (80×80×30mm): Strong and impact-resistant (uses D2/DC53). Cuts large, hard materials (wood, tires, thick plastic, metal cans). Output size: 50mm+. Needs high-power equipment.

Mounting & Stability

• Central holes: Convex or flat, to fit different rotor types.

• Stays stable during high-speed rotation and cutting.

• Some blades have a recessed cutting edge for better precision with counter blades.

How We Make the Blades

1. Blanking & Forging: Cut and shape high-quality alloy steel to make it stronger and tougher.

2. Heat Treatment:

1. DC53: Heated to HRC 62–63 for maximum toughness and wear resistance.

2. D2: Multi-step heating to HRC 58–60, reducing stress to avoid chipping.

3. Precision Machining: Use CNC machines to ensure blades are the right size, flat, and sharp.

4. Quality Check: Test every batch for hardness, size, and defects to ensure consistency.
