Product Introduction
Slow crusher blades, also called beside-the-machine granulator blades, are core wearing parts for low-speed plastic recycling machines mounted next to injection molding machines. They cut and shear leftover plastic at low rotating speed, crushing sprues, runners and defective plastic scraps to recycle materials right on site.

Blade Types & Structures
Pineapple Blade
Pineapple blades are cylindrical with dense spiral teeth on surface, the most common choice for slow speed granulators. They crush plastic by gnawing and squeezing, producing even-sized plastic pellets with little dust and low running noise, suitable for inline recycling of most engineering plastics.
Claw Blade / Hook Blade
Claw blades own curved cutting edges to deliver strong crushing force under high torque. They handle thick sprues and hard plastic waste easily. Clearance stays steady after blade resharpening for simple maintenance, and they are commonly matched with pineapple blades to lift overall crushing capacity.
Fixed Blade
Fixed blades are flat rectangular pieces fixed on both sides of machine frame, forming shear gaps with rotating blades. Most fixed blades have multiple usable edges; users can flip them around for repeated use to cut part replacement cost.
Main Blade Materials
SKD11 / Cr12MoV
SKD11 and Cr12MoV are high-carbon high-chromium alloy tool steel, widely used for granulator blades. After heat treatment, hardness hits HRC 58–62 with good wear and impact resistance. These blades fit crushing ABS, PC, PMMA, PA and filled reinforced plastics, with long service life and available for repeated regrind.
D2
D2 steel has high hardness and reliable toughness with similar performance to SKD11. It comes with good cost advantage and keeps stable cutting effect during long time daily plastic crushing.
DC53
DC53 is improved cold work die steel, much tougher than SKD11 while keeping hardness at HRC 60–62. It resists wear well and holds cutting edge firmly, not easy to chip or crack under frequent impact. DC53 blades work best on abrasive plastic, glass fiber filled materials and rigid scraps, cutting down sharpening frequency and extending service time.
