H13 (4Cr5MoSiV1)
Hardness: HRC52–55 after heat treatment
Features: Resists impact and high temperature, tough core
Use for: ≥160T alligator shears; cuts ultra-thick steel (≥30mm), alloy steel, thick pipes
Pros: Good for heavy impact, no chipping/breakage, easy to use
H13K (Modified H13)
Features: Better than H13; tougher, more stable at high temperatures
Use for: ≥180T large alligator shears; cuts extra-thick steel (≥40mm), heavy alloy steel, large structural steel
Pros: More durable than H13; 20–30% longer service life
LD Steel (7Cr7Mo2V2Si)
Hardness: HRC60–64 after heat treatment
Features: Very wear-resistant, uniform hardness
Use for: 100T–160T alligator shears; cuts 10–30mm steel, rebar, rusty scrap
Pros: Most wear-resistant; fewer replacements, higher efficiency
