Rebar Cutting Blade: Selection & Usage Guide
1. Blade Material Selection
Blade material affects its hardness, toughness and service life. Choose based on your cutting needs:
H13 Material: Mainstream high-quality material. It is wear-resistant, tough and heat-stable. Good for long-term, high-intensity cutting of high-strength rebar (no deformation or chipping).
Cr12MoV Material: Hard and wear-resistant. Suitable for cutting hard cold-rolled rebar. Note: It is not very tough; avoid high-impact cutting.
9CrSi Material: Cheap and practical. Easy to process. Good for cutting ordinary medium-low strength rebar (used in small-medium projects).
High-nickel Material: Best for scrap rebar (corroded, with sand/dirt). It resists wear well.
2. Machine Specification Matching (Size-Customizable)
-
Shape Matching
Square: 4 usable edges, longer service life (good for large-scale processing).
Rectangular: 1-2 usable edges (good for small-tonnage cutting machines).
Size Matching: Different machine tonnages (GQ40, GQ50, GQ60) need specific blade size (thickness, length, width, bolt hole spacing). Follow the machine manual strictly.
3. Blade Selection by Rebar Type
Ordinary Round Steel: Low hardness. Use 9CrSi or Cr12MoV (low cost, meets basic needs).
High-Strength Ribbed Rebar: Hard, ribbed surface wears blades. Use H13 (wear-resistant, tough, no chipping).
Scrap Rebar: Corroded, with sand. Use high-nickel material (resists wear).
4. Manufacturing Process
Choose blades made with full grinding and vacuum heat treatment. They have uniform hardness, stay sharp, and won’t chip or dull easily.
